Some of the treatments that we offer under Child Dentistry are as follows:-
This basic level care includes regular check-ups and professional cleanings
done on a 6-month schedule, essentially required to maintain good oral health and spot any signs of trouble at the earliest and treatable stage.
If a child has repeated cavities, dentists recommend a sealant, which is providing a protective coating often on a large chewing surface of a molar. This further reduces the chances of cavities.
For children with developing teeth, it is important to strengthen their
teeth and it is done through Fluoride treatment.
The teeth of the children may be damaged due to injury. To preserve the tooth, a filling, a crown or a root canal may be required depending on the extent of damage.
“We have special kids play area so that they can enjoy and have a stress free visit to the clinic. Also, we have LEDs
playing animated videos to reduce the anxiety of children while they are being treated.”

So, at Roots and Crowns we make it possible for you to enjoy food again and smile from ear to ear.
Endodontics usually refers to the root canal treatment, involving procedures related to the pulp which is the soft tissue at the center of each tooth. It is challenging to treat root canals as they are extraordinarily complex with numerous intricacies like extra canals, calcifications, variations in root canal size, shape and number and other complex anatomies. This calls out the need for an Endodontic specialist, as they can diagnose and treat root canals by using their expertise, extensive knowledge, advanced root canal techniques and procedures in greater depth.
How is a Root Canal Performed?
After giving a local anaesthesia, a sheet of latex is placed around the tooth to isolate it, and keep it clean and dry during the treatment. Usually the complete procedure can be finished in just a single visit and that too within a short span of an hour. Some cases may require 2-3 visits at the maximum, depending on the degree of infection/inflammation.
High Success Rate
The Endodontist therapy has very high success rate and that is upto 90%, but of course, there are no guarantees. We prefer to keep our patients well informed before treating them, so that they can take a well-informed decision. The success of treatment also depends upon how are you taking care of your dental hygiene. We recommend you to visit us every six months for your oral hygiene maintenance.
When to visit an Endodontist?
The root canal treatment can be challenging for a general dentist to handle, yet a cake-walk for an Endodontist.
The following situations signal you to visit an Endodontist for the best diagnosis and treatment:-
If you have severe tooth pain with or without swelling.
If there is a pulp damage caused by a blow to the mouth or other traumatic injuries. If you have decay in your teeth that has extended beyond the outer layer (enamel) of your teeth
Sensitivity to hot and cold
How long does it last?
Depending on an effective and frequent oral hygiene routine, a treated tooth can last a lifetime. One should also maintain regular visits to the dentist, at least twice a year for better results.

You can have any number of teeth replaced using implants. It can be from a single tooth to the entire set, or even if you need to replace any missing teeth. Placing implants is not painful, but can be slightly uncomfortable.
The time taken for the procedure can vary from a single visit to a span of 3 to 4 months. You might need to have some pain killers after the surgery, as prescribed by the dentist.

Unlike dentures, dental implants are fixed and don’t move while eating, coughing, laughing or talking.
